This 2006 BMW M3 Competition Package is finished in Laguna Seca Blue over a black leather interior and is equipped with the SMG automated manual transmission. The car is a factory Competition Package example and is offered by its third owner, who has owned it since August 2016. The car sustained rear-end damage in an April 2021 collision that was deemed a total loss by the insurer; it was subsequently repaired, professionally repainted in its current color, and now carries a salvage title. Ownership & Driving Experience

Aside from the April 2021 rear-end collision, the car has not been in any other accidents and had not been repainted prior to that repair. The car starts easily and holds a steady idle. The SMG transmission shifts through its gears properly, and the car drives as it should with no issues noted.

Exterior

The car was refinished in Laguna Seca Blue as part of the insurance repair following the April 2021 rear-end collision. New headlights and taillights were fitted at that time, along with smoked turn signal lenses, new emblems, color-matched reflectors, and replacement of all miscellaneous exterior plastic trim and clips. The chrome trim has been blacked out, with the original chrome pieces retained.

Additional exterior equipment includes an AC Schnitzer front lip, AC Schnitzer carbon-fiber rear diffuser, AC Schnitzer roof spoiler, Kamei headlight eyebrows, and a Status Gruppe CSL-style carbon-fiber trunk lid. The car rides on blacked-out OEM CSL wheels and KW Variant 2 adjustable coilovers; the factory springs are included with the sale. The windows are tinted.

The paint presents nicely overall, with some spots showing chipping or cracking. No other issues are noted with the exterior.

Interior

The cabin is trimmed in black leather and features a suede-wrapped steering wheel. New OEM rear deck speakers have been installed.

The interior trim piece surrounding the shifter tends to pop up and requires pushing back into place; it can also be replaced. No other issues are noted with the interior.

Engine & Drivetrain

Power comes from the factory S54 inline-six paired with BMW's SMG automated manual transmission. The exhaust system has been upgraded with an Eisenmann race exhaust and custom double-resonated mid-pipes; the factory exhaust system is included with the sale.

The engine starts easily and idles smoothly, with no leaks or smoke noted. The SMG transmission engages and shifts properly through all gears, and the clutch functions as it should.
